Sins of Survival Book Review

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book! I voluntarily leave this review!

Dani and Emilie have been doing their best to keep innocents safe from what goes bump in the night. But Dani’s past is about to collide with their journey. The Scions of Seraph label anyone who uses magic as tainted and seek to eradicate them. For years, an agreement kept their hunting grounds contained, but something has changed, causing them to destroy any and all Talented they find. Together, Dani and Emilie may just stand a chance against the Scions.

The audiobook narrator for this series is fantastic. Amy Landon has a smoky quality to their voice that will pull readers in. Not to mention the way they can switch between Dani and Emilie with voices that completely fit the characters’ personalities.

Sins of Survival is a book that dives into a breadth of character development for both Dani and Emilie. Readers will learn how Dani became a hunter, and Emilie will learn how to use her power against those who would harm both the dead and the living. As the two rise up against the supernatural challenges set against them, they will also battle their inner demons and doubts. Their struggles will bring fiery conflict and action to the pages, providing a fast-paced and thrilling story.

This series hits all the Supernatural show vibes and has a duo just as dynamic in their own ways. Dani and Emillie have opposing personalities that bring balance to the story and show readers different avenues of choices and reactions.

Sins of Survival is for readers who enjoy fast-paced urban fantasy series. And if you happen to be a fan of Supernatural, definitely give this series a try. I cannot wait for the next book.
