Margot has grown up with a mother who barely knows how to take care of herself, let alone her daughter. The toxic relationship between them is all Margot's ever known. She knows there are families who don't scream to converse or lie about their families, but Margot has no concept of love and acceptance.
The fact a simple photograph validates Margot's desire to find family who may give her the love and attention she craves is shattering. And while Margot finds the strength to leave, readers will be heartbroken at the years of neglect it takes.

Burn Our Bodies Down is a disturbingly accurate representation of generational trauma and abuse. If you have experience with being gaslit by a parent or having your emotions invalidated this may be triggering for you. The amount of pain and suffering Margot goes through mentally will not make this an easy read.
Burn Our Bodies Down is a thriller with a supernatural twist that will leave readers horrified and guessing right until the end.
