Book Series to Read in 2023 | Book Talk

Did I read the series I intended to in 2022? Or will I have to once again add them to my reading list for 2023? It's the time of the year again, where I recap what book series I read in the previous year from my intended list. And the series I plan (again) to read in 2023.

2022 Book Series I Intended to Read

Weather Warden by Rachel Caine - Check! I powered through this series on audiobook and enjoyed every minute of it.

Allie Beckstrom by Devon Monk - Sadly no. Since Weather Warden was an Urban Fantasy I wanted to finish that series off before diving into another. I never did manage to circle back to it though.

Titania Academy by Samaire Wynne - Nope not this one. My brain jumped towards more comfort reads in 2022 due to a difficult year. The dramatic setting of preteen academia in a fantasy world did not hit high on my list.

Dead Meat by Nick Clausen - Yes! As soon as I started this up again and I quickly made it through each book, barely taking a break in between.

By the Hand of Dragons by Alexzander Christion - I made progress! I managed to read the novella Killing Monsters, but I still have three books to go until I finish what is published, or soon to be published!

Series I'm Adding to My Goals for 2023

I'm going to take another pass at finishing or starting the series I did not get to last year. But I also want to add a few to the list that I started in 2022. (See this is a reason I can't finish a series, I start others.)

Redwall by Brian Jacques - I started rereading this series last year, and while I don't think I will be able to make through the entire series, I'd like to make a decent dent in what I have left to read. This is a wonderful feel good comfort series and I needed a lot of that in the past year.

The Chronicles of Ixia by Marie V Snyder - Back when I first read Poison Study it was only part of a trilogy and I remember the books being fun and intriguing reads. I recently tried to pick up Storm Glass and realized I had no idea what was going on. To my surprise I found out the world of Ixia had expanded! I reread Poison Study last year and I can't wait to see where the series goes!

Here's to a year filled with great books! Do you have any series you're planning on reading?
